TWEEN/TEEN IDOL

From the turnout of today's performance on Good Morning America, it's obvious that all young girls love the t.v. show "Hannah Montana." Then there's the "Best of Both Worlds" concert tour/3D movie. Both feature the celebrity Miley Cyrus.

"Hannah Montana" appeals to girls because it allows them to dream of living a secret life as a star, and be a normal teen (doing all of the activities that a kid would). "Hannah Montana" captures everything from fashion trends, education, family bonding, hanging out with friends, and more.

So why is it that Miley Cyrus, who plays Hannah, can't stay out of media headlines for provocative behavior?

Not only is the image from Vanity Fair on of Cyrus's latest scandals, but there are also other sexy images of the teen out there. In fact, most of the pictures that are discovered are taken by Miley herself in the shower with little clothing on. What happened to the wholesome image portrayed on t.v.?

Is this someone that children should admire, or are we expecting too much from a 15 year old girl?

50/50

Open the door, pay for the meals, buy the exquiste jewelry, impress the parents.

Are these things still expected of a man?

Many women would love for their man to spoil them, but there are some who feel very independent and doesn't mind taking care of any of the above.

IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD

Thanks to Eddie eveything turned out in favor of a two year old boy who was left in a SUV for hours unattended.

They daily stress of life and all that it brings is enough to make a person go crazy. But what could possibly be on someone's mind that they would leave behind a young child for hours alone?

In fact, some parents knowingly leave behind their kid for appalling reasons like running into the store, going shopping, etc.

Paying for a sitter can be costly, but what about asking a family member, friend, or neighbor to keep after a child?

It sure beats taking the risk of him/her dying.

MILK IN MY COFFEE

Sista's have you ever been walking down the street and saw a brotha with a woman who is not a sista?

Did you think to yourself?

What does she have that I don't?

He's a sell out?

or

You didn't think about anything at all because you like a little milk in your coffee!

Is interracial dating acceptable in this unconventional society?

TASTELESS AND OFFENSIVE

The New Yorker unveiled this weeks offensive cover which portrays Michelle Obama with a rifle, and Barack wearing a turban. In the back, there is a picture of the American flag burning in the fireplace. If you look a bit closer you can see a picture of Bin Laden hanging on the wall.
This caricature is outlandish. The artist, Barry Blitt's, is equating Barack Obama with terrorism. He insinuates that Barack has close ties (maybe even a friendship) with Osama Bin Laden. He suggest that Obama be elected into the White House as President and turn against America.
In Blitt's defense, he claims that this is a satire and should not be taken seriously.
Although some people will not take it seriously, many uneducated voters will take the picture literally! They will look at it and automatically assume that Obama is a terrorist.
This will do nothing but harm Obama by lessening his votes.
This issue should have never hit the newsstands.
